Vision

Our vision is found in one word: TRANSFORMATION. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." We are transformed when we place our faith in Christ and we are continually being transformed into the likeness of Christ. The Bible tells us that the old becomes new, the lost are found and darkness becomes light. This is transformation!

Did you know that God wants to transform every area of your life? Growing in your spiritual life means that you allow God to change you. When you commit your life to Christ you are surrendering all of your heart, soul, mind and strength to Him. Romans 12:2 states, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Through God's power He can transform our thinking, attitudes, marriages, finances, and relationships just to name a few.

At First Baptist Church, we believe that transformation happens when we make three commitments presented in scripture. Here are the personal transformation commitments:

    •  My faith with others (Evangelism)
    •  Myself (Ministry)
    •  My resources/finances (Stewardship)
